Andrew,
Thanks for answering. I have seen the sites you mention. The new
Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition that now comes with the 770 needs the
Maemo 2.0. The older version of the Tablet OS needs Maemo 1.0. The 770's
os seems to be upgradeable free of charge and like you said the two
versions are incompatible; according to Nokia and Maemo; but there are a
lot of apps allready ported to Maemo 2.0. I didn't see the links at the
bottom, even more stuff thanks! If I get a 770 it appears I should also
get a 1 gig RS MMC as well. I would love to get another Palm but the T|X
has seriously soured me on them and Lifedrive has too many complaints as
well. Anything less than those two I don't get wireless access which I
really like and use a lot. I'm surfing through the forums at Internet
Tablet Talk <http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/> right now and
there's a lot to compare between the Nokia 770, Archos PMA 400 and
several also rans. For my use it appears that the 770 is going to be the
best bet??
Peter
