Firefox just asks me what program I want to open it with. Doesn't open
it itself.

OO.o Writer just opens it as a string of commands to the printer.

I went into the CUPS documentation and made the Brother printer the
default printer. The ff command then sent the file to the printer, the
printer light that shows it's receiving a file blinked, but nothing
printed. I tried this twice.

 lpr /home/eric/Desktop/FreshmanSeminar/Scotts_MakeEmplHealthy.prn

So this leaves me with two questions,
1) What's the correct naming convention to send it to the Brother
printer if that is not the designated default printer? I tried both
   -P usb:/dev/usb/lp0
and
   -P HL-1440
Maybe I should have tried
   -P Brother HL-1440.

2) Why does it not print when it is sent? (The printer works find with
stuff sent from programs such as OO.o or gedit.)
