YES as a matter of fact i did. About 2 weeks ago i was trying to connect to my home
network (no luck by the way). How do i change my computer name back to
"localhost.localdomain" ? It says it could not find the one i typed in (something
like, rainman.localnetwork or something like that?

Well i was incorrect in my previous statement. X Does start when you type startx,
but it takes forever!! And if you open a program that also takes forever..

After i do this, gnome starts up with this msg "Could not look up intenet address for
RainMan.pH2rd. This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. It may be possible
to correct the problem by adding RainMan.pH2rd to the file /etc/hosts."
So now my /etc/hosts/ looks like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1 RainMan.pH2rd RainMan

Is that right?
