The RealTek chips don't offer full duplex, and they are a little
harder on CPU utilization versus DEC Tulip-variants like those in
the Linksys and Netgear models.

As far as measuring performance, I use Bonnie for NFS.  Simple,
large file transfers over FTP is another.  ttcp and a few other
tools are also good.
