FYI, just so you'all know, ping is an ICMP packet that acts much
differently than UDP or TCP. And even when it comes to connectless
UDP v. connection/acknowledged TCP, in doing some AP-to-AP bridging
here at AVS, we solved numerous issues by using an UDP protocol
instead of a TCP one. And that's just the layer 3 deal.
Again, 802.11 is very different than 802.3 for layers 1 & 2, even
though they share the same 802.1 protocols.
