I tried broadcast 2000. It comes with Mandrake 8.1. I found the program so
utterly confusing that I could not make heads nor tails out of it. I did not
know even where to begin! Maybe I am spoiled after looking at imovie but I
would hope for something a bit more intuitive than broadcast 2000.

By the way, according to their web site, the reason that they pulled the
product is that they have heard of some open source software developers being
sued for financial damages to companies that sell commercial software similar
to what they create. The creators of broadcast 2000 said that they did not
want to open themselves up to similar liability.
