DirectTV DSL is not available in most of Michigan, including Grand
Rapids.  :(

And the lady guaranteed me that my VPN, SMTP, and everything would work
without a problem,  or there would be no charge.  She even mentioned X
windows would work,  and I didn't ask about that!  If my religious
persuasion permitted polygamy I would have proposed marriage right then
and there.

But no luck.... on to continue shopping.

P.S. Earthlink DSL lost connection for about an hour this morning
(little ATM light went off).  But that isn't enough time to bother
calling tech support and being told it is my firewall that is inhibiting
service.  One could blame Ameritech I suppose,  but we had BigNet DSL
for two years and had a grand total of NINE MINUTES of downtime.
