As a longtime wearer of spectacles with plastic lenses, the best thing
to do is use cotton (preferably worn jersey, e.g. a t-shirt) and Windex.
That's how I clean my desktop LCD. Wet the shirt, brush the large,
scratching debris off, then polish with the clean side.

Windex is great for a lot of things, like diamonds (with a toothbrush).
