30 days. You have 30 days after the domain expires to renew it, or it's up
for grabs. No exceptions. How do I know? My company lost a domain to a
savvy dude in India after a handful of days went by after the 30 day grace
period. (wasn't my fault, woo).

regarding someone elses post regarding the companies who buy domains and
sell them for bloated prices:

I received an email a few weeks ago about bultman.com. Bidding started at
300 dollars, and would I like to make a bid? And comment on it?

I bid : $1.50

My comment was something to the tune of the seller is a cretin, and I'm
not dumb enough to buy a personal domain for that amount. honestly, I
bought my domain, and I don't think I'd pay more than 13 bucks a year for
it. I'm not going to pay 300 bucks for a domain. No way.
adam@bultman.com isn't that important to me. My name is scattered enough
on the Internet so if you were really looking for me, you'd find me.
