First off, are all your patches up-to-date?

My Gnome 2.0 on RedHat 8.0 notifies me on this, but still allows multiple
logins. They have resolved NFS locking issues on the registry itself AFAIK.
Of course, application files are different, and I cannot pull up Evolution or
other apps and start working on the same files over two different systems. ;-p

It was Gnome 1.x that did not allow multiple logins because it wasn't wary of
file locking on the NFS server for its registry files. In fact, if I had a
"hang" on a workstation (due to inadequate power, which I found out later --
long story) it would leave the registery files locked sometimes even when using
just one system. Gnome 2.0 is much "smarter" now.

But I haven't extensively tested all this with Gnome 2.0 yet. I was just able
to login to two different systems simultaneously. I didn't try to do things I
assumed wouldn't work (like running an instance of Evolution on each).

Microsoft states Linux's GPL is "viral" so I guess all the authors
in the US who require you to pay royalties to print their books
must be the digital "black plague." Copyright is copyright and
the GPL prevents commercial use without a license from the holder.
