[KLUG Members] CAD and Sound Editing

I have two questions really,

1. I'm looking for a usable CAD package for Linux or Windows. Open source that is. It needs to support 3d. I want to draw rooms, stages, and that kinda of stuff. Not parts. Basically, I program light shows with moving lights like what you'd see at a concert. I need to be able to get a CAD drawing of the room/stage.

2. Does any know of a good sound editing package for Linux. Currently I use Cooledit on a Win2k box. I'd like to be able to use Linux.
