I'm not much of an OO user, but I'd try this first:

Create a brand new user on the system.  Log on as the new user and see
if that user can start OO.  If it works for the new user, then the
problem is the local OO config in your home directory.

As root at a shell prompt, you can verify the RPM's to make sure no
files are corrupt with the "-V" option (upper case "V").  i.e.  

    rpm -V OpenOffice.org-1.1-11mdk
    ... (repeat for each RPM listed above)
