This question is too vague to have any real meaning.

What Novell does offer (and will on Linux) is integration between the
file system and the directory service - which nothing else does (not
even ADS on NT).

But if you want ACLs, LDAP authentication, blah blah; then Samba does
that when used with a filesystem like XFS.
