Rusty,
>Will the legacy drive work if you install it by itself?
Nada. The good news is that my wife has been so busy outside she hasn't
noticed the computer monitor is no longer glowing.
I am afraid that the legacy partition is scrambled. I booted from a Knoppix
3.3 CD. Knoppix doesn't have a clue about it. I tried my other usual tricks
by booting with Linux BBC, SuperRescue, etc. Not a chance.
I can recover most everything with a couple of evenings of work, but I am
still no closer to a dual boot system than when I started :-(

Bob
