The Kalamazoo Linux Users Group is proud to announce it will be hosting
Eric S. Raymond on Tuesday, August 9. The topic of Raymond’s speech at
KLUG will be “After the Revolution: Open Source, 8 Years Later.” The
event is co-hosted and co-sponsored by KLUG and the Computer Information
Systems Program at the Haworth School of Business at Western Michigan
University. The event will take place at Schneider Hall, Room 2000, or
Room 1120 for overflow, at Western Michigan University. Doors open at 6
p.m.; the program starts at 7 p.m. There is no charge for this event. 

Our presenter:

Eric S. Raymond is an observer-participant anthropologist in the
Internet hacker culture. His research has helped explain the
decentralized open-source model of software development that has proven
so effective in the evolution of the Internet. His own software projects
include one of the Internet's most widely-used email transport programs.
Mr. Raymond is also a science fiction fan, a musician, an activist for
the First and Second Amendments, and a martial artist with a Black Belt
