I had a VAIO for about a year, it was OK but nothing great as far as
Linux support.

It also died about one year after I bought it (new).  Right after it
went off warranty.  Bad motherboard or CPU as far as I could tell.
Too expensive to get it fixed (cost more than it was worth).

I have no plans to ever own another VAIO.
