Nope, journaling is not an audit system. File-system journaling exists
primarily to ensure operations upon filesystem meta-data is accomplished
atomically, and secondly to enhance performance by making life easier
for the elevator.
Back when meta-data was not transactional large file-systems where a
real drag.
