They're having problems because (unless this has changed since the 
firebox that i used a few years ago) their firebox proxies all outbound 
SMTP connections.  I used to have fits with this until we finally got 
rid of that worthless waste of space and time that bore the name 
watchguard firebox.  The only reason we ever used one was because it was 
some sort of promo or something and it was cheap.  Funny how some things 
are cheap for a good reason.
